pieces of advice that we always recommend to every online entrepreneur,
from beginners working on their first web sites to old hands starting
up their next successful e-commerce venture. We truly believe that
these ideas are the foundation for success!
- Try one new strategy at a
time! It's often tempting to try every strategy at once, in
the hopes that they will bring a massive flood of money pouring in.
But it's better to learn how to do one strategy really well, and then
move on to the next. So when you try something new, give it some time
to work. If you see great results, you know you've got a winning
strategy for your business -- and you should stick with it! And if it
simply doesn't work, don't get hung up on it -- move on to a fresh
idea. However, the true key to success lies in finding what works for
you and your business... not necessarily what works for the guy down
the block.
- Test, test... and test
again! If you're not tracking the impact each new strategy
has on your conversion rates, sales, and profits, then you're never
going to know what strategies are most effective for you. When you're marketing
an online business, you should carefully monitor every
change you make to see if it has a positive -- or negative -- impact on
your business.
These ideas
may seem simple, but we believe
they're the antidote to the biggest mistakes we see Internet marketers
making online. Too many people are trying every strategy they can get
their hands on, without carefully testing and tracking the results to
see what actually boosts their bottom line.
That's a lot of work for not much payoff!
Not every strategy is going to work
for every business... and the only way to know if something is working
for you is to keep a close eye on your results. And that's why -- no
